Terms of Service

Effective May 22, 2026

These terms apply to cmdapp.io, CMD account services, release downloads and updates, and the cmd mail, cmd voice, and cmd bar Mac apps.

Agreement

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using cmd, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use cmd.

cmd products are currently early-stage Mac apps. Features may change, break, or be removed, and availability may be limited while products are in preview or private release.

CMD Account

The CMD account dashboard displays account, workspace, entitlement, connected-account, and read-only subscription metadata. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in email available and for activity that happens through your account.

Product Use

cmd mail works with email providers such as Gmail and iCloud. You are responsible for the email accounts you connect and for making sure you have the right to access and manage those accounts through cmd mail. Actions you take in cmd mail may affect your provider mailbox, including marking mail read or unread, archiving, deleting, sending, snoozing, scheduling, or otherwise changing messages where supported.

cmd voice records and transcribes audio only when you start dictation. Do not use cmd voice where recording or transcription would violate law, workplace policy, platform policy, or another person's privacy.

cmd bar can run local commands, search local launcher content, manage clipboard history, store snippets, open quick links, and perform lightweight system or window actions. Review commands carefully, especially while using an early release.

Acceptable Use

  • Do not use cmd to violate law, infringe rights, send abusive or deceptive messages, record people unlawfully, or compromise anyone's account or device.
  • Do not attempt to bypass access controls, rate limits, provider permissions, security checks, update checks, OAuth flows, or anti-abuse protections.
  • Do not upload, submit, transmit, or store malware, secrets you do not have authority to share, or content that exposes another person's private information without permission.
  • Do not use cmd in a way that disrupts the apps, website, product access flow, email providers, AI providers, update infrastructure, or other users.

Third-Party Services

The website and products may use third-party services such as Vercel hosting, Supabase account services, payment providers, email providers, Sparkle update infrastructure, and AI providers such as OpenAI. Those services may have their own terms, privacy policies, limits, outages, costs, or account requirements.

You must comply with the terms that apply to your email providers, AI providers, Apple account, Google account, and any other third-party service you use with cmd.

License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the cmd Mac apps for your own workflow.

You may not copy, redistribute, sell, sublicense, host, or commercially exploit cmd unless we give you written permission. You may not interfere with cmd's security, update, account, or OAuth flows, or reverse engineer the apps except where the law allows it despite this restriction.

Your Content

Your emails, attachments, audio, transcripts, snippets, clipboard entries, quick links, account data, and other content remain yours or your provider's, as applicable. You give cmd permission to process that content only as needed to provide, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the apps and website.

You are responsible for preserving any content that matters to you. Keep appropriate backups and use your provider's recovery tools when needed.

Updates And Availability

The cmd Mac apps may check for and offer software updates. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the apps, website, download links, update feeds, product access, support, compatibility, pricing, or any feature at any time.

Disclaimers

cmd is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that cmd will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every provider account, accurate, free from data loss, or available at all times.

Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, cmd and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost messages, inaccurate transcription, access issues, provider outages, or business interruption.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to cmd will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for cmd in the 12 months before the claim or 50 U.S. dollars.

Termination

You may stop using cmd at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to downloads, updates, accounts, entitlements, or support if you violate these Terms or create risk for cmd, other users, providers, or third-party infrastructure.

Changes

We may update these Terms as cmd changes. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice appropriate to the change. Your continued use of cmd after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
